How to set up and edit a floor map?

1. From the side menu, select Settings > Floor Map Editor (NEW).

2. Click on “+ New floor map” located in the top right corner of the screen.

3. Select your preferred Floor Map View. You can choose to:

  • Either choose to view all your separate dining areas in one canvas 

  • Or create a separate floor map for each dining area.




4. The floor map will appear pre-populated with the tables you have already entered during the onboarding process. i.e the tables found in Settings > Table Management.


5. You can adjust the positioning of the tables by:


  • Making sure you are in edit mode





  • Clicking on the selector 




  • Drag the table to its correct position on the canvas. 

  • Remember to click Save when you are happy with the positioning.




6. To add a table:

  • Choose “Table Types” in the side menu and select between a circular or rectangular table. 

  • Drag and drop the selected table shape onto the canvas. 

  • A modal will pop up for you to enter table name and minimum and maximum covers

  • You can also select whether the table should be a ghost table (i.e not available for booking in the widget)

  • Click create




7. To edit an existing table:

  • Double click (on desktop, tablet & mobile device) or long press (on tablet & mobile devices only) on the table

  • A modal will pop up to update the table format

  • Don’t forget to click save. 


8. To delete a table from the canvas:

  • Simply double click on the table and click delete in the pop-up modal or the toolbar.

  • The deleted table will appear under “Excluded Tables” in the side menu. 

  • You can add the table back again by simply dragging and dropping the table from the excluded section onto the canvas.


9. Adding elements to your floor map:

You can add other elements to your floor map, such as walls, bar area, plants and more. To do so:

  • Click on “Other Elements” in the side menu.

  • Simply drag and drop the selected element onto your canvas.




10. Service hours and Special service hours

To apply particular service hours to the floor plan (for example floor plan only to be used on weekdays):

  • Click on “Service Hours” in the side menu.

  • Tick or untick the applicable service hours.

  • Hit the save button at the bottom of the Service Hours window.


Same can be done for special service hours by selecting “Special Service Hours” in the side menu and ticking or unticking the special service hours that would apply to the floor plan you are working on.


13. Dining Areas

  • You can view the dining areas available on the floor plan by clicking the “Dining Area” drop down menu on the side menu.

  • To add a dining area simply click on “+” and name your dining area or select from the pre-populated dining areas available.
