We are thrilled to announce the launch of our revamped Bookings Insights. This powerful new feature in Tableo helps restaurant operators understand their business like never before. Whether you’re looking to track booking performance, optimize marketing channels, or better understand your customer demographics, the Bookings Insights dashboard is designed to provide you with valuable data at your fingertips.

What’s new in Bookings insights?

Found within the ‘Reports’ menu, the new Booking insights report and dashboard, allows you to track critical metrics across various aspects of your restaurant bookings, all in one easy-to-navigate interface. Here’s what you can expect:

1) Comprehensive booking overview

Choose a specific date range and get a detailed overview of your bookings. Instantly see:

  • Total bookings and covers: Understand how busy your restaurant has been and how many guests have reserved.

  • Cancellations, no-shows, and pending bookings: Keep track of potential revenue losses and manage pending reservations with ease.

This information allows you to monitor the flow of customers and adjust your operations to improve efficiency and minimize lost bookings.

2) Channel performance breakdown

With Bookings Insights, you’ll be able to see exactly which channels drive the most reservations. Whether it’s TripAdvisor, Google, walk-ins, online widgets, or phone bookings, you can now:

  • Track the percentage of bookings from each channel.

  • Understand the performance of each channel, including the number of covers and how they compare in terms of cancellations or no-shows.

This feature is invaluable for deciding where to focus your marketing efforts and improve customer experience.

3) New vs. returning customers

Reporting old vs new customers

Gain insights into customer loyalty by seeing how many first-time visitors you’re attracting versus how many are returning regulars. You can also filter this data by booking channel, for example, check how many new customers came from Google or the website! With this information, you can:

  • Refine your marketing strategy.

  • Tailor promotions to attract more repeat visitors or expand your customer base.

4) Local vs. foreign visitors

Discover where your customers are coming from. Our dashboard now distinguishes between locals and foreign visitors, based on the phone numbers associated with bookings. You’ll also be able to see:

  • The top visiting countries for any specified time period.

This demographic insight helps you tailor your dining experience to different types of customers, offering better-targeted promotions or services to suit their preferences.

5) Peak times and service hour insights

Wondering when your restaurant is busiest? With our new reporting tools, you can easily identify the most popular service hours across a specific time period. This insight allows you to:

  • Optimize staffing schedules to ensure you’re properly resourced for peak times.

  • Adjust kitchen preparation based on expected surges in customer demand.

We’ve also introduced a Peak Time Heat Map, a visual tool that helps you quickly identify your restaurant’s busiest hours and days of the week. This heat map allows you to:

  • Spot trends in customer flow at a glance.

  • Make informed decisions on when to run promotions, offer happy hours, or even adjust menu pricing for maximum impact during slower periods.
